Who We Are
Iva's work with architects has included virtually every commercial sector – restaurant, hotel and hospitality, retail, housing, corporate interior and mixed use / urban planning as well as institutional and public projects. An impeccable reputation for honesty and personal integrity is at the core of her professional relationships, which range from single practitioners to large international firms. Iva is an extraordinary listener, and can discern the nuances and balance of client goals vis-à-vis design that insure a successful project. Iva Kravitz graduated from the University of Vermont, which included a junior year spent at the Universite de Nice. She has done additional course work at Harvard University, New York University and the Steven Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College. Since beginning her work with designers, she has spoken at the Surface Design Association National Conference, at Surtex for George Little Management, at the Fordham Business School, and moderated public panels for SMPS and for the Richter and Ratner Retail Roundtable discussions; publications include SDA Journal, Healthcare Design magazine and Oculus, the NY Chapter newsletter of the AIA. She is an active member of the Center for Architecture, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Real Estate Development Group, the New York Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and Co-Chair of the Programs Committee of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW). Iva is also a founding Director of the Lauri Strauss Leukemia Foundation, which raises money for scientific research on leukemia and related blood cancers. She is married, lives in Park Slope, and has two teenage sons.
